LG Display, the world's second-largest maker of liquid crystal displays, has reported its third straight quarterly loss due to weak demand for TVs.
The company said in a statement that it suffered a smaller-than-expected net loss of £70 million for the January-March quarter. It had a net loss of £62.5 million a year earlier.
LG Display, which is a supplier to Apple, said quarterly revenue increased 15.2% from a year earlier to £3.5 billion.
LG Display also reported a quarterly operating loss of £96.7 million, which was its sixth consecutive quarterly operating loss.
